Being an AMG Line, this new model definitely looks more striking than the normal Mercedes-Benz A-Class. First off, the German carmaker gave it a diamond radiator grille with chrome pins. It also gets a single silver-painted louvre, while the corner air intakes now have a honeycomb pattern. The A180 AMG Line was also given side skirts and a set of subtle but aerodynamic five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels. The front brake caliper even has the Mercedes-Benz logo.

Inside, the three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel has been given a Nappa leather covering, with its grip area and touch control buttons now perforated. When it comes to on-board features, the A180 AMG Line is also equipped with the MBUX infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it can even take voice commands. There's also a touchpad control for the audio system on the center console.

Other features that will definitely keep everyone inside comfortable is the automatic dual-zone air-conditioning system, head restraints for the front passenger and the driver, folding seat backrests, soft-touch door lining, which are all clad in Artico man-made leather, or Dinamica microfiber.

For safety, this new Mercedes-Benz compact sedan also comes with seven airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, anti-skid control, as well as stability control. It also has driving assist features like the Attention Assist system which works by warning you of an impending collision and wakes you up when you feel drowsy. To help you on your journey, the A180 AMG Line also has adaptive cruise control, and it can even help you take evasive action to avoid obstacles via the car’s active brake assist feature.

Under the hood, the A180 AMG Line also stands out from the normal A-Class as it uses a different engine, a turbocharged 1.3-liter Mercedes-Benz M282 DE14 LA inline-4. It can make a maximum of 133 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. The said engine is paired with the 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic, which sends power to the front wheels. With that setup, the A180 AMG Line can reach a top speed of 210 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h time of 9.2 seconds, according to Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes-Benz A 180 AMG Line Sedan is priced at Php 2,790,000.
