Based on the Amaze sedan platform, the BR-V shares a lot of exterior details with the Mobilio and the Amaze

Despite being based on the Amaze sedan platform, the BR-V is a slight departure from the Mobilio. Overall, it’s a stouter, more robust vehicle which it owes to the fact that it is a crossover.

III. Honda BR-V Price in the Philippines: To buy or not to buy?

Despite being a crossover and not a full SUV, the BR-V actually has a lot going for it like that high ground clearance we've mentioned bore and the great ride quality provided by its excellent suspension. And for a vehicle here in the Philippines, that is simply a must as we do have a lot of potholes.

Also, the high ground clearance will undoubtedly come in handy on unpaved roads which the BR-V to some degree can actually handle with aplomb. Do note though that the said model is not rated for off-roading so sketchier terrain is a no go.

In terms of its space, safety equipment, and cargo, the Honda BR-V 2020 actually looks like it could function decently as a family vehicle. And that’s good. But in comparison to the Mobilio which can do that too, the BR-V is quite identical in terms of interior.

Also, take note that the BR-V is much more expensive than the Mobilio which can function just as well in the city. So let us ask you, are you willing to dish out almost a million pesos for that high ground clearance and more ruggedness?

Despite sharing the same platform, the Honda BR-V is much more robust than the Mobilio
