Nissan LEAF 2020 - 2021 Overview
Worldwide, the Nissan LEAF is offered in the following exciting variants: the Nissan LEAF S, the Nissan LEAF SV, the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan LEAF S PLUS, and the Nissan LEAF SV PLUS, and the Nissan LEAF SL PLUS. The first-generation Nissan LEAF was initially introduced in the United States and Japan in December 2010. Due to its striking road presence and overall impressive performance, it gained recognitions such as Green Car Vision Awards in 2010, the European Car of the Year and the World Car of the Year both in 2011, and the Car of the Year Japan for two consecutive years. Also, this multi-awarded electric vehicle is acclaimed as the world’s top-selling as of December 2019.
The second-generation Nissan LEAF was unveiled in October 2017. It was made available in the US and Europe a year after. Locally, Atsushi Najima, the current President of Nissan Philippines, confirmed that it will be released before March 31, 2021, the end of the Japanese premium carmaker’s fiscal year.
The new Nissan LEAF measures 4,48mm long, 1,790.7mm wide, and 1,560 inches tall. As the Japanese automobile manufacturer is known for consistently releasing good looking cars, this electronic vehicle flaunts a strikingly aggressive front and sculpted edges detailed with fine lines and curves that promises to slice through the air. Highlights include a pair of nicely-shaped LED headlamps with their trademark LED daytime running lights, fog lights for higher trims, dual power outside mirrors with heating function, ultraviolet reducing solar glass, the iconic floating-design roof, and a modern-looking pair of LED rear lights.
Supporting this highly efficient electronic car is a pair of 16-inch to 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
Due to its electric motor, the new Nissan LEAF guarantees a quiet and relaxing interior. The 2020 Nissan LEAF is equipped with an eight-inch NissanConnect touch screen with AppleCarplay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity.
In terms of safety, it is built with the Nissan Advanced Airbag System, three-point seatbelts, LATCH system for children, steering column with energy-absorbing features, side-door guard beams, tire pressure monitoring system, and more.

The new Nissan LEAF is fitted with an independent front strut suspension and torsion beam suspension at the rear.

The Nissan LEAF is a front-motor, front-wheel-drive electric vehicle. The efficient electric engine produces horsepower that ranges from 147 to 214. It is mated with a single-speed automatic transmission.
