On the outside, the new E-Class Philippines strikes a great balance between quiet sleekness, and sportiness. It now has AMG Line exterior styling, wide wheel arches, and a grille formed out of chrome diamond pins. It also gets a powerdome on its bonnet, electronic folding side mirrors, LED headlamps and taillights, and set of 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels. 

Inside the E-Class are electronically adjustable sports seats with 4-way lumbar support. Most surfaces are then clad with a combination of Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfibre. 

Keeping its occupants comfortable is a Thermatic automatic climate control system, power closing doors, and an electronic rear window sunshade. The driver is also provided with a steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a digital gauge cluster. 

For more cargo space, the rear seats also have a split-folding function. The interior of the E-Class also comes with ambient lighting with 64 different color modes. 

For entertainment, the E-Class Philippines is kitted out with an MBUX infotainment system, which can be controlled using a touchpad. The said headunit can connect to phones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it is linked to a Burmester surround sound system. 

Other high-tech features found on the E-Class include cruise control with a Speedtronic variable speed limiter, wireless phone charging, rain sensing wipers, remote central locking, an Eco start/stop function, etc. 

For safety, the new E-Class for the Philippine market is equipped with active parking assist, a reverse camera, run flat tires, tire pressure monitoring, anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, active brake assist, driver attention assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and pedestrian protection. 

For airbags, this luxury model comes standard with dual front airbags, side airbags for the driver and passenger, as well as window airbags for the front cabin and rear cabin.

The E-Class can accommodate up to five individuals in its 2,939mm wheelbase. It is equipped with multi-link suspension in front and at the rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs on all sides. It also uses an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.

Under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. At maximum, this engine can make 197 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. A nine-speed automatic gearbox then sends power to its rear wheels.
