The Mercedes-Benz EQA is a compact, electric-powered, five-seater luxury crossover. In the Philippine market, its sole variant: the 250 Electric Art, is priced at Php 3,990,000.
The EQA is 4,463mm long, 1,834mm wide, and 1,613mm in height. Its wheelbase then spans 2,729mm.
Propelling this crossover is an electric motor paired with a 66.5 kWh battery. At the maximum, this powertrain can output 187 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. It also has a WLTP-indicated range of 496 kilometers.
Locally, the EQA competes against the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, etc.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA launched on September 2023 together with the EQE sedan and the EQB seven-seater crossover. At launch, the five-seater EQA is priced at Php 3,990,000.
On the outside, the EQA features several unique elements, including the iconic Mercedes-Benz black panel radiator grille adorned with a central star. It also boasts a continuous light strip at both the front and rear, adding to its distinctive appearance.
Enhancing its sporty aesthetics are the newly designed 19-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels in the Electric Art Design, along with LED headlamps.
Inside the EQA offers space for up to five occupants. All of its seats are clad in leather, and it also features ambient lighting, an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, split-folding rear seats, etc.
Occupants of this crossover are then kept cool by an automatic climate control system. Further convenience is ensured by an automatic tailgate.
Handling the entertainment needs of the EQA’s occupants is a 10.25-inch MBUX touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It can likewise accept voice commands, and charging is made easy via a wireless pad. Feeding sound into the cabin is done via a 10-piece speaker system.
For safety, the EQA gets what you’d expect from a modern crossover. Its standard safety bits are then reinforced by active parking assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, driver attention warning, etc.
