The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB launched on September 2023 together with the EQE sedan and the EQA. As of its introduction, the EQB is priced at Php 4,190,000.
On the outside, the EQB largely carries over the styling features of the five-seater EQA. It gets the same Mercedes-Benz black panel radiator grille adorned with a central star. Its front is likewise adorned with LED lighting with a strip linked to the main headlamps to its daytime running lamps, while the rear gets an LED taillight bar as well.
Completing the look of the EQB is a set of 19-inch wheels. It also gets roof rails, and power-folding side mirrors, among other exterior features.
Inside, the EQB offers space for up to seven occupants. It gets leather-clad seats, with the front ones providing their driver electronic adjustability. All occupants are then kept cool by an automatic climate system with a rear vent.
The visual appeal of the interior is enhanced by the presence of ambient lighting. Its rear cabin also gets armrests, and cargo loading is made easy thanks to an electronic tailgate.
The entertainment needs of the EQB’s occupants are handled by a 10.25-inch MBUX touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Sound is fet into the cabin by a 10-piece sound system. Keeping devices powered up inside this SUV is done easily thanks to a wireless charging pad.
For safety, the EQB gets what you’d expect from a modern crossover. Its standard safety bits are then reinforced by active parking assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, driver attention warning, etc.
Under the hood of the EQB is an electric motor linked to a 66.5 kWh battery. This system offers 474 km of range, and it can output up to 187 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque.
Available colors for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB include Denim Blue, Iridium Silver, Mountain Grey, Night Black, and Selenite Grey.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB sits as a unique prospect among similarly sized EVs as it is the only one within the compact niche that gets a third row. The said row might not be as spacious as those on midsize cars, but it's nice to have when you need to ferry family and friends.
