Mazda 6 Sedan and Wagon

A Look at the Mazda 6 Sedan and Wagon

The 2019 Mazda 6 sports a classy and sharp style which is owed to the company’s “KODO - Soul of Motion” design incorporated into the unit. The car has a rear chrome trim extending to the taillights, as well as new grilles loaded with chrome wings extending right below the vehicle’s LED headlights. Speaking of which, Mazda 6’s headlights have also been redesigned, making them slimmer and longer than normal. To add more, the unit now has LED fog lights.

To further highlight the vehicle’s elegant and premium-looking exterior, the front bumper corners have a horizontally designed trim, while the rear bumper has been painted completely. If those weren’t enough, Mazda also made sure the wheels don’t fall short! The 19-inch alloy wheels have a dark, lustrous coating.

2019 Mazda 6 Dashboard

The Elegant Mazda 6 Dashboard

The interior of the Mazda 6 2019 doesn’t fall short, as well. It has a heads-up cockpit display projecting in front of the windshield, as well as seats upholstered with Nappa deep chestnut brown leather that has been sewn carefully and elegantly, as well as accentuated with Senwood. Some dealers, though, offer a white leather option. Additionally, the European-inspired dashboard has an infotainment system with touchscreen and connected to 11 speakers surrounding the vehicle.

Under the hood, the three models have little differences. All of them have a SKYACTIV G engine but the Wagon and Sedan have a 2.5L gasoline type engine while the Sedan Turbo has been loaded with a 2.2L diesel engine.

Similarly, both the Sedan and Wagon comes with an i-STOP System which is meant to shut the engine down when the vehicle is idle, such as when you’re caught in traffic or stationary due to a red traffic light. The Mazda 6 Turbo compensates this feature with its cross-traffic alert system, making backing out easier and safer than usual.

III. Mazda 6 Price in the Philippines: To Buy or Not to Buy?

Whether you choose the Mazda 6 Sedan or Wagon, both offer a design that will make head turns and eyes glued. Both are compact units that will surely fit in any garage, can be easily parked in any parking space, as well as provide you no-hassle driving into the busy and crowded roads of the Philippines.

That being said, The look is not the only reason you purchase a vehicle. It’s a combination of looks, performance, safety, comfort, and convenience. Thus, let Philkotse help you breakdown the benefits and drawbacks of Mazda 6 for you to have a well-informed buying decision.

Beyond the exquisite interior and exterior design of the three Mazda 6 variants, the SKYACTIV engine is one of their best features. It is fuel-efficient which is advantageous in a country wherein being stuck in traffic and staying on the road for long hours is common.

And that is without any reduction in power. Additionally, the 2.5L gasoline engine variant promises a smooth driving experience while the 2.2L diesel engine provides enough wave of torque. Do note, though, that the Wagon does not come with a gasoline engine variant.

The comfort of both the driver and passengers is also one thing that is great about Mazda 6. The front and back seats are both power adjustable; the driver seat in eight ways, while the passenger seats in six ways. Similarly, the front and back rows of the vehicle are well-ventilated.

A luxury stylish sedan for your choice

Charging your gadgets will also not be a problem even if you are a passenger since there are two USB ports at the back. To add more, the back row seats have a 60/40 configuration and fold easily. There is also a center armrest that can be used as an improvised table for your items or food when needed.

Both the Sedan and Wagon also do not fall short of driver-assistance features in case of road accidents since they have driver, passenger, side, and curtain airbags. Children’s safety is also a priority when the unit has been designed. It has child lock protection and ISOFIX tethers useful for locking in your kid’s car seat.

To assist you in driving, there are parking sensors, as well as ABS EBD and DSC systems. A rear-view camera with a 360-degree view angle has also been installed, but the display has quite a small size.

IV. About Mazda Philippines

Mazda cars in the Philippines have long been officially distributed by the Bernaz Auto Philippines Inc. (BAP). Currently, you will find different models of Mazda vehicles being sold and driven around the country.

They include Mazda 2, Mazda3, Mazda 6, CX-3 crossover, CX-5, CX-9, MX-5, and BT-50. Hopefully, there would be more to come since the company is constructing a facility in Cabuyao, Laguna.

It is an eco-friendly facility built on a 2.5-hectare property, which is expected to display, store, and safeguard Mazda units that will be delivered to the 14 official Mazda Philippines dealerships distributed in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The facility also has an inspection and repair area, which will further ensure the quality of Mazda vehicles that will be handed out to their dealers and customers. Also, this will make sure that all units will be maintained and repaired professionally and correctly.

One of Mazda's Luzon Dealership

Since not all Mazda customers are Laguna-based, the new Mazda facility, which is expected to be finished in November 2019, has a training facility for all the representatives sent by their dealers. What is better is that there is a designated area where they can stay while they are training! The new facility will also become Mazda Philippines’ administrative and main office.

Overall, Mazda is committed to helping save the environment. As such, they continue to produce vehicles that are fuel-efficient and eco-friendly. All their cars also have great designs through their innovative engineering technology.
