Many are excited for the upcoming, next-generation Honda Civic Type R. In fact, Honda even jumped the gun, at least for the American market, when it recently debuted the model even in its camouflaged test-mule form. More recently, a post from a Civic-focused forum has reportedly gotten hold of the list of the upcoming Civic Type R’s color options.
The next-gen Honda Civic Type R prototype
Of note, the said post was brought up in Twitter as a screenshot, which has since been deleted. However, the post has caught the attention of many netizens, revealing that the anticipated Honda performance model might be coming in Blue, Red, Black, White, and Grey by the time it makes its global debut. To this end, it looks like the new Civic Type R might not be available in Yellow.
Furthermore, the post also claims that the interior is getting one two-tone, Black and red color combo. There are no available pictures of the said leaked exterior and interior pictures though.
Now as with most leaks, one should take this with a healthy dose of salt. Who knows, Honda might actually be working on more interior color combinations, as well as more exterior colors as we speak.
But while still unconfirmed, as leaks generally are, some enthusiastic folks on the internet have already pointed out that the polarizing all-new Acura Integra actually has more in the way of interior color options. Suffice it to say, some particularly zealous Honda fans were not pleased about this.

For the specs, the upcoming next-generation Honda Civic Type R will likely be using a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger, with a maximum output of 306 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This will be paired to either a six-speed manual or the new six-speed automatic gearbox.
That’s same engine as the current Civic Type R, though interestingly, the new model is already faster than the old version, as it ran laps around the famed Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
So, are you hyped-up for the upcoming Civic Type R? And if you’re getting a new Civic Type R once it reaches the Philippine market, which color are you getting it in?
