In the fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus, many local automotive companies are pitching in. This, of course, includes Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. or HARI, the official distributor of Hyundai made commercial and passenger vehicles locally.
HARI donates PPEs to UP-PGH
To support the frontliners in the battle against the said virus, HARI has already delivered 300 out of 2,500 PPEs to UP-Philippine General Hospital (PGH), one of the hospitals designated as a primary COVID-19 detection and treatment facility.
The said donated was done through #HyundaiSAGIP relief program, which was established by the HARI Foundation, INC. (HFI), HARI’s corporate social responsibility arm.
The said program was started back in 2009 when the company responded to the needs of Hyundai car owners during the devastating Ondoy floods. HyundaiSAGIP has since developed into a response, recovery, and resilience program.

It is also of note that PGH, the country’s premier state-funded university hospital, and currently the largest government-operated health facility, is a committed partner with the HARI Foundation in the Alagang Breastfriend program, which provides free breast cancer screening and also, breast cancer awareness through information dissemination.
In a statement, HARI and HFI President Maria Fe Perez-Agudo says that:
“We cannot stop at this point. We need to help flatten the curve. Our contribution will most certainly boost the morale of our heroic workers in our united effort to contain the spread of the disease. As partners in health, HARI and UP-PGH are committed to be in solidarity with every Filipino in these unsettling times.”
Aside from PPE’s, HARI already lent several vehicles to transport medical workers and medical supplies for the St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Batangas, and the DR. J.P Rizal Memorial District Hospital in Laguna.
