In our previous report, Geely Philippines aims to have 40 operating dealerships by the end of 2022. It would be a significant achievement for the company as it only started expanding its dealer network in 2019. Currently, a total of 27 dealerships are established in the country.
Kiyofugi will lead the operations with his 20 years of experience in the automotive industry from various markets including the Middle East, Latin America, and Australia. He replaced Yosuke Nishi who did a commendable job in making the Geely brand known to Filipinos, finishing tenth in 2021’s sales race with 6,104 units sold.

For this year, Geely Philippines is looking even stronger now that it has an entry into the competitive subcompact sedan segment with the Emgrand. It is joined by Geely Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango in achieving a better sales performance this 2022. All of which are available in the company’s growing dealership nationwide.
“I am very grateful for the customers and business partners who accepted and supported the Geely brand up to now that enabled us to become [the] top 10 automotive brand within a short period of time,” said SGAP President and CEO Kiyofuji.
“Our role is to take SGAP to the next level and become one of the top passenger vehicle brands by 2025, strengthening our dealer network as well as exceeding the customer expectation. I am very much excited to take on the challenges ahead and committed to leave no stones unturned to achieve our mid-term goal,” added Kiyofuiji.
