Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has expanded its model lineup as it officially launched the Xpander Cross. In case you’re still not aware, the Xpander Cross is a seven-seater MPV that comes with a more aggressive exterior styling as compared to the regular Xpander.
The Xpander came in hot in the local market in 2018, and tallied a total of 13,494 units sold during its first year in the Philippine market.

“The Xpander is a very important product to MMPC as it fits many of the vehicle requirements of Filipinos. It provides reliable performance, a spacious and comfortable interior, host of safety feature and a very bold design. Now with the entry of the Xpander Cross and its added features, we see the renewed potential to the already successful Xpander nameplate,” said by MMPC President and CEO Mr. Mutsihiro.
Built upon its Dynamic Shield design that provides the balance of dynamism and power, the Xpander Cross has the ability to drive through adventurous or rugged terrain.
It has a measurement that spans 4,500 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,750 mm in height. Moreover, the Xpander Cross has a ground clearance of 225 mm.

It comes with a wide windshield and high seating position that provides good visibility
What separates the Xpander Cross from the regular Xpander in terms of exterior styling are the addition of the sporty features like new front grille and bumper design.
It is also fitted with LED headlights and fog lamps, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, new fender arch and side body molding, LED combination lamps, and roof rails.
Inside, the 7-seater MPV is configured with a black interior layout that’s accented by brown trims and dual-tone leather seats. It is also installed with a 7-inch touchscreen and six speakers including two tweeters.

The MPV comes with a specially tuned suspension with a rebound spring
Powering the Xpander Cross is a 1.5-liter MIVEC DOHC gasoline engine capable of generating 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed automatic transmission and the MPV utilizes a forward-wheel-drive.

The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has four available color options, which are the following: Sunrise Orange, Quartz White Pearl, Sterling Silver Metallic, and Graphic Gray Metallic. As for pricing, the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has a Php 1,255,000 price tag.
