The Subaru WRX STI is the more performance-oriented version of the WRX sports compact sedan. Now that the fifth-gen Subaru WRX is out, the STI version is expected to follow soon. It is available in one variant only which is priced at Php 2,848,000. Powering this vehicle is a 2.0-liter boxer-4 turbocharged engine capable of generating 264 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is paired with the engine to send power to all wheels (Driver Controlled Center Differential).
Dimensions-wise, the WRX STI is 4,595 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, and 1,475 mm high, with a wheelbase rated at 2,650 mm. In the Philippines, this Japanese STI model doesn't have a direct rival. However, it is comparable to the Honda Civic, Kia Stinger, and Mazda3.

The new Subaru WRX STI Philippines still has its ancestor’s distinct features but is modernized. Its front displays wider intake vents with matted, trim pieces, LED headlights with auto leveler and daytime running lights, pop-up type headlamp washers, and foldable side mirrors with turn signal lights.
The WRX STI’s athletic body measures 4,595mm long, 1,795mm wide, and 1,475mm tall bears subtle lines that help its aerodynamic capabilities. At the top, a tilt-adjustable, power sliding sunroof is built that adds sophistication to its aggressive appeal.
Its rear also flaunts efficient details such as the shark fin antenna, dual twin tail mufflers, side sill spoilers, rear diffuser, LED combination lamps, fog lamps, and large spoiler. The Subaru WRX STI sits on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with 245/40 R18 tires.
