The 2025 Subaru WRX Wagon is a five-seater model based on the WRX sedan. For the Philippine market, it has only one trim. There’s the WRX Wagon GT-S Eyesight priced at Php 2,880,000.

When it comes to size, the Subaru WRX Wagon is 4,755mm long, 1,795mm wide, and 1,500mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,670mm. 

Under the hood of the Subaru WRX Wagon is a 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer-four gasoline engine. At maximum, this can produce up to 271 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to all four wheels via a continuously variable transmission. 

In the local market, the Subaru WRX Wagon competes against the Mazda6 Sportback, Audi RS4, among others.

Subaru WRX Wagon Launch

The 2025 Subaru WRX Wagon was launched in the Philippines together with the Subaru WRX in June 2022. On launch, its variant í the WRX Wagon GT-S EyeSight.

The all-new WRX Wagon is kitted out with full LED lighting. These include a pair of LED headlamps with auto-leveling, LED front fog lamps, and LED taillights. It also gets power-folding side mirrors. The top-spec WRX Wagon also has a power-folding, and tilt adjustable sunroof. Both do come with a roof spoiler, as well as a power trunk.

Inside, the WRX Wagon can seat up to five occupants. It also offers a push-to-start button, leather seats, an eight-way power-adjustable front seat, sports pedals, rain-sensing wipers, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system with rear vents. 

Technology and Safety Features

The WRX Wagon, like the sedan model, comes standard with an 11.6-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is then linked to a six-piece speaker system.  

Safety-wise, both WRX Wagon trims get the Subaru EyeSight Safety suite. These include autonomous emergency braking, lane centering control, adaptive steering control, lane departure prevention, among other features. It also gets a total of seven airbags. 

Platform and Chassis

Like the sedan model, the WRX Wagon uses a MacPherson strut for the front and a double-wishbone suspension for the rear. Both trims of this wagon model then come with disc brakes for all four wheels, as well as an electronic parking brake. 

The WRX Wagon is heavier than the sedan models. The mid-spec WRX Wagon GT-S has a curb weight of 1,619kg, while the WRX Wagon tS EyeSight clocks in at 1,629kg. 

Engine and Drivetrain

Powering all variants of the Subaru WRX Wagon is a 2.4-liter boxer-four turbo engine that can make up to 271 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. It exclusively uses a continuously variable transmission with a paddle shifter manual mode, which then sends power to all four wheels.
