SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp, the official distributor of BMW cars in the Philippines, has finally included the BMW 318i Sport into its model line-up. Now in its seventh generation, this variant is the latest in the 3-series lineup.
On the outside, the BMW 318i Sport is typical of the BMW 3-Series and is an attractive example of a BMW sedan. It features the German marque’s kidney grille, the familiar 3-series roofline, the sharp and unmistakably BMW LED headlights, and the very sporty looking set of 18-inch V-spoke 780 Bicolor light-alloy wheels. Apart from that, the 318i Sport is also equipped with high-gloss exterior trim pieces, and the LED taillights are darkened for a more masculine look as well.

Apart from looking stylish inside and out, the BMW 318i is also supremely comfortable with its leather-clad sport steering wheel and the sport seats with Sensatec upholstery. The black high-gloss and ambient lighting are also a feast for the eyes.

The said 3-series variant is also no slouch when it comes to onboard tech as it comes equipped with a fast and easy-to-use 8.8-inch touchscreen, a 5.7-inch horizontal display, which is paired up with an analog instrument cluster. Collectively, these gadgets are called the BMW live Cockpit and together it provides a well-rounded, and information-rich interface between the car and the driver.
The aforementioned infotainment system is also handled by the BMW iDrive System 6 which comes with USB and Bluetooth Connectivity. The German-made compact car also comes with cruise control, a parking assistant with park distance control, and a rearview camera.

The masculine design continues on towards the rear

Under the hood, the BMW 318i Sport is propelled by a 2.0-liter BMW TinPower inline-4 engine. Power is sent to the rear via an eight-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic. With this setup, the 318i Sport can make a maximum of 156 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.
