If you’ve ever seen the Honda HR-V in the flesh, then you’ll know that it comes with an interior that’s mostly black. As far as stylishness goes, black goes with any kind of design, and on the HR-V, the dark themed interior gives it this quiet, dignified but very modern look.
However, despite looking good in black, you’re definitely imagining how the HR-V’s interior will look if it came in other colors. Say, dark brown?
There are, however, no changes for the exterior for the Malaysian-spec HR-V
Well we’ve got great news for those who are wanting to get an HR-V but have issues with entirely black interiors, because Honda just introduced a dark brown leather option for the Honda HR-V RS for our neighbors in Malaysia.
Honda HR-V RS: The dark brown leather looks great
With this update, the Malaysian-spec Honda HR-V RS’s seats, the door paneling, and the center console, as well as the dashboard panel is covered in dark brown leather.
With this new option, the HR-V RS’s interior provides a more vibrant and earthy tone. The best part about this is that even if you opted for the new interior color, the price for the HR-V will still remain the same at RM 124,000, or Php 1,448,670. Here in the Philippines, the Honda HR-V RS is priced at Php1,508,000.
The dark brown leather makes the HR-V look fancier and more premium
The exterior for the Honda HR-V will still have the same color choices. For the Philippines, however, do note that we’ve actually got a different set of paint choices which include Taffeta White, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Passion Red Pearl, and the very striking Phoenix Orange Pearl.

Its dark earthy tone looks great, but one downside is that minor scratches might be more visible
Honda HR-V RS: It’s possible that we’ll also get this new interior
While Honda Philippines is yet to say anything about our local version of the Honda HR-V, we’re thinking that there’s a great chance that we’ll be getting this new interior color.
Just like the Malaysian market though, we’re guessing that it’ll also be limited to the Philippine-spec HR-V RS. With regards to whether this new option will cost more or not, we’ll just have to wait for Honda Philippines for more details.
