Despite the updates, the price range remains closely intact.

Mazda released the official specs of the 2021 CX-5. Although exterior features are not thoroughly changed, the interior is updated with notable features but relatively keeps the CX-5’s price point close to the outgoing model.

The most notable change in the 2021 Mazda CX-5 is the new 10.25-inch large center display, replacing the 7-inch touchscreen from the previous model. The software is highly improved and can now be operated by a rotary dial.

The new 10.25-inch infotainment system comes with the latest Mazda Connect Infotainment interface that has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Of note, all Mazda CX-5 variants in the United States are installed with this new system.

A new Carbon Edition is introduced seated at the mid variant. This variant comes with exclusive features such as polymetal gray interior paint, gloss black door mirrors, and 19-inch black aluminum-alloy wheels. An optional CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo is also made available making 250 hp and 433 Nm of torque.

As of this writing, Mazda Philippines hasn’t released any word regarding the 2021 CX5’s launch in the country. Considering all the standard features and technologies the new CX-5 has, it can be a game-changer in the local crossover segment rivaling against the likes of Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Suzuki Vitara.
