The 41st Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS), organized by Grand Prix International Public Company Limited (GPI), is happening and will push through. The event will be held at the Challenger Halls of Impact Muang Thong from July 15 to July 26, 2020. As such, this year’s BIMS will be the first motor show in the world to be held during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Major auto and motorcycle brands have affirmed their participation in the 41st BIMS. For those who cannot attend the event for whatever reason, a special Virtual Motor Show will also be held online.
The event has a theme entitled, "Inspiration unlocks the future"
Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Isuzu, Jaguar-Land Rover, Kia, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, MG Motor, Mini, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volvo Cars are some automotive brands that confirmed their participation. Many motorcycle brands will also participate in the event.
“Even though at the beginning of the year, Thailand and the world have encountered the crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak, like every other year, the leading automotive companies and motorcycle companies agree to participate in the 41st Bangkok International Motor Show, organized on the space of 170,960 square meters, affirming the status of the leading automotive exhibition in Southeast Asia,” said Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Chairman of the 41st Bangkok International Motor Show.

Which car are you excited to see?
Safety protocols will still be strictly implemented in the automotive event. Some of these include the mandatory wearing of face masks, mandatory hand disinfection with alcohol prior to entry, and strict implementation of social distancing.
The BIMS 2020 will be open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Tickets to the event will cost 100 Thai Baht (Php 161) each.
