It's a beautiful car but only fifty will be made.

On July 2, 2020, two days from now, Genesis, the luxury division of Hyundai Motor Group, is scheduled to begin selling the 2021 model year G90. It’s the brand’s flagship luxury sedan model, and its variants are getting a lot of upgrades.

For the 2021 model year, the Genesis G90 is also getting the “Stardust” edition as its top variant. Only fifty units of this very limited, special edition variant will be made, and it will only be available in South Korea. It’s quite a stunning looking car with a very unique paint job that will definitely steal the show wherever it goes.

The G90 Stardust Special Edition: Head-turning, just like a celebrity

So what’s so special about the G90 Stardust edition? Well apart from its ultra-limited production run, the exterior of the G90 Stardust draws inspiration from a specific scene; a red carpet event under a starry night sky, attended by celebrities who are then being peppered by hundreds of camera flashes. Get the picture?

To perfectly reflect the theme of the G90 Stardust, Genesis gave it a special carbon metal paint job combined with this very eye-catching sparkling pearl effect.

The sparkling effect of the G90 Stardust is especially noticeable whenever light hits its surface from a certain direction while traveling in a low light environment. Down below the lower portions of the car, they also gave it a “Vik black'' paint job, which contrasts the sparkly upper portions of the car’s exterior.

Apart from the dazzling exterior, the interior of the G90 Stardust edition is also given a metallic pore Ash wood trim on the dashboard, and its bespoke seats are covered in two-tone leather.

Overall, the G90 Stardust is definitely a beautiful looker of a car. The process of giving the special edition G90, however, requires specialized craftsmanship procedures, and the quality of the materials used is above the average fare found on automobiles.

This of course explains the limited production quantity and South Korea only distribution. For now, however, we do not know how much the G90 Stardust will cost, so we’ll have to wait for Genesis to reveal more about this special edition G90.

Do note also that the G90 Stardust is the top variant of the facelifted 2021 G90. Like its lower-spec brothers, it also comes with new equipment like the Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension which automatically adjusts the softness of the ride.

It also comes with the Intelligent Front-Lighting System which dims the G90’s high beams automatically whenever it detects an oncoming car.

When it comes to powertrain options, the new G90 has three engine options; a 5.0 liter V8 GDi engine, a 3.3 liter V6 T-GDi, and a 3.8 V6, which are all paired with an eight-speed automatic.
