From its unique quad lights and large front grille to its lip spoiler and nicely done tail lights, Genesis launches the 2021 G80 sedan with flair – giving off an overall luxurious aesthetic design.
The ‘two lines’ lighting theme is the thing that Genesis boasts in this model. The second-generation G80 was supposed to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show this month, but due to the current crisis, Genesis decided to reveal the G80 on a livestream.

"Two Lines"
One thing to notice right off the bat is that the design of the G80 shares many similarities with its SUV sibling, the GV80. The evident difference between the two models in terms of design is the lower grille piece that extends that length of the front fascia.

Massive Grille Design
The Genesis G80 is powered by a turbocharged 2.5L inline-four engine capable of generating 300 hp and 421 Nm of torque running on a rear-wheel-drive platform. There will also be a turbocharged 3.5L V6 that produces 375 hp and 391 Nm of torque sport trim level – and a 2.2L inline-four diesel that produces 207 hp, bound for markets outside the U.S.
Safety also gets an upgrade, as the G80 gets new advanced safety tech – which includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot collision avoidance, Highway Driving Assist II, and standard adaptive cruise control. Inside, the G80 offers a 14.5-inch infotainment display that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.

The Genesis G80 is a promising sedan that provides luxury, style, and comfort all at the same time. Genesis has yet to announce the pricing for the G80 but it will be available in South Korea starting today. The sedan goes on sale in other markets in the second half of the year.
