SsangYong Philippines is offering a refreshed Rexton for the local market. For the most part, the new Rexton comes with cosmetic changes that keep the Rexton up with the likes of Ford Everest, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Isuzu mu-X in the local midsize SUV segment – or even better.
The new Rexton is designed with a new honeycomb grille that instantly sets it apart from its previous models. The headlights are added with titanium gray headlight bezels giving the SUV a sharper look. SsangYong also offers a new Marble Gray color finish for those who wish for a more distinct Rexton visual.
The SsangYong Rexton facelift
Inside, the new SsangYong Rexton is still installed with a leather interior with premium brown stitching. It still uses the same 8-inch infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As a vehicle that aims to provide a premium feel, LED interior lightings are still available for the facelifted model.
Under the hood, the new Rexton still uses the same 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine from the previous model. The engine is capable of producing 179 hp and 420 Nm of torque.

The only tech change in the new Rexton is a new smart key fob exclusive for the top-spec variant only. The smart key fob comes with functions such as headlamp activation and remote tailgate operation.
Aside from the vehicular changes, SsangYong Philippines is now offering the 7-seater midsize SUV with a free 5-year preventive maintenance service (PMS) that comes with a five-year warranty. The free PMS covers the cost of oil, parts, and labor for the first five years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
