The MINI Cooper Countryman is the first subcompact luxury crossover SUV released by the British automotive marque. Launch
The first generation MINI Countryman was unveiled in 2010. In 2011, the company collaborated with the legendary band KISS and released a limited edition Countryman Kiss edition. The proceeds were donated to UNICEF to aid children affected in the earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku, Japan.
In 2014, a refreshed version was launched in the New York International Auto Show. Updates include a restructured radiator, new body-color choices, and fresh underride guard elements.
Its second-generation was introduced in the 2016 LA Auto Show and went on sale the year after.

Both variants of the MINI Country share the same 2.0-liter, four-cylinder inline engine. The standard model is matched with a seven-speed sport dual-clutch transmission. It can produce 192 hp and a torque of 280Nm. The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is paired with an eight-speed Sport automatic transmission and can generate 306 hp with a torque of 450Nm.
