The House of Investments (HI) under the Yuchengo Group of Companies (YGC) has always been associated with running dealerships for two prominent Japanese automakers. Now, it’s taking Chinese car brand Geely under its wing.
A new Geely dealership will soon rise in Manila
HI previously worked behind the scenes as a shareholder of Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the authorized distributor of Geely vehicles in the country. It recently broke ground for a new dealership in Manila, signifying a more prominent role in the marketing and distribution of Geely models.

“This event holds significance as it will be our first dealership undertaking despite the ongoing Covid pandemic,” according to HI President & CEO Lorenzo Tan, as he reiterated YGC’s commitment to its partnership with Geely.
“Today, almost 3 decades after we have refocused and strengthened our car business. We are adding to our portfolio by building a very modern Geely dealership to service more Filipino customers,” he adds.

The event was also attended by SGAP representatives led by President & CEO Mikihisa Takayama, along with Executive Vice President Yosuke Nishi.
“Consistent with our goal to expand SGAP’s dealer network and to reach more Geely customers nationwide, SGAP will continue to work hard for our customers,” Takayama said. “Our partnership with House of Investments is a significant step in realizing it despite the pandemic restrictions. The rise of Geely Manila is definitely something to look forward to.”
Customers in Manila will now have more opportunities to experience Geely's lineup
Geely Manila is expected to be fully operational in April 2021, giving the city’s residents more choices with Geely’s lineup of lifestyle vehicles such as the Coolray subcompact, Azkarra compact, and Okavango 7-seat midsize crossovers. By this time, a fourth Geely model is also anticipated to arrive in the Philippine market.
The expansion is in line with Geely’s target to achieve sales of 9,500 units for 2021, with the company having opened its third Mindanao branch in January and its first outlet in Cebu last month.
