Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the official distributor of Geely vehicles in the country, once again successfully expanded its business network in the country by opening the Geely Cebu dealership, the first dealership of the brand in Visayas.
Last year, Geely managed to open numerous dealerships in Luzon and Mindanao. Geely also had a good run in 2020 in terms of total passenger vehicles sold based on last year’s CAMPI and AVID reports. The Geely Coolray is the brand’s best-selling unit and is also a top-seller in the subcompact crossover segment.
New Geely dealership in Cebu
With the inauguration of Geely Cebu, the Chinese carmaker has now a total of eight dealerships in the country. This now makes the Geely brand available throughout the nation. Filipino car buyers can now easily get their hands on Geely vehicles such as the Geely Coolray, Geely Azkarra, and Geely Okavango.
Geely Cebu is being managed by its dealer partner, Gateway Group of Companies. This dealership is the Chinese carmaker’s second Geely outlet after it opened Geely Lipa, Batangas just last year. Gateway Group President Markane Goho expressed his excitement towards the opening of the Geely dealership in Cebu saying Geely is a fast-rising auto brand.
All Geely cars are now more accessible to Cebuanos
“This is a testament to the long-term commitment of the Geely brand to serve the Cebuanos. I am confident that the Cebuanos will not only be enticed by the exciting Geely vehicles that await them but will also be impressed with the world-class facility Geely Cebu has to offer,” said Mikihisa Takayama, President of SGAP.
Geely’s new dealership, located at M.C. Briones Street, Maguikay City, Cebu, is now fully operational. Customers can visit the dealership from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Know more about Geely Coolray 2024
The Geely Coolray 2023 is a subcompact crossover. In the local market, this model has three variants with a price ranging from Php 1,083,000 to Php 1,299,000.
Under the hood of the Coolray is a 1.5-liter inline-3 turbocharged gasoline engine capable of making up to 177 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. It is then linked to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch gearbox sending power to its front wheels.
Size-wise, the Coolray is 4,330mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,609mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,600mm.
Locally, the Coolray competes against the likes of the Toyota Raize, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Tracker, MG ZS, among others.
