The ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) has finished testing the all-new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. The result indicates that the Toyota-made crossover is a safe vehicle with a notable high rating in each of ANCAP’s tests. This also makes the Corolla-Cross Hybrid one of the safest crossovers you can buy.
The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid acquired a five-star rating from ANCAP
For ANCAP’s front impact testing, the Corolla Cross Hybrid scored 13.01 points for the front passenger and driver safety. More specifically, the model offers good protection for most parts of the front occupant’s body.

In terms of child occupant protection, regardless of whether the child-seat is facing forwards or rearwards, the Corolla Cross Hybrid got a great score. In this part of ANCAP’s testing, it got a total of 44 points. Of note, ANCAP’s maximum possible score in this category is 49.
ANCAP also includes testing for active safety features which the Corolla Cross Hybrid got flying marks for. This is because it is equipped with anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce control, stability control, blind-spot detection, lane-keeping aid, and lane departure warning. Note that it was the top-of-the-line Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid V variant that ANCAP tested.
However, the lower-spec Corolla Cross G has the same amount of airbags as the V, while lacking blind-spot detection, lane-keeping assist, and lane departure aid.
