Peugeot Philippines has all the reasons to make a loud roar as it ended its 2022 run on a high note. The Lion brand noted that it had a record year in the Philippines by achieving a 285 percent sales growth.
The said sales feat could be considered a step in the right direction for Peugeot PH, after entering 2022 under the helm of a new distributor. Astara took over the managing role of Peugeot in the Philippines last January 2022. It is one of the biggest automotive distributors in Europe and Latin America.
Peugeot PH revealed that its year-long sales momentum continued through December with record month-on-month performance. The car brand mentioned that its sales performance was driven by the customer demand for its four new nameplates: the Peugeot 2008, 3008, 5008, and the Traveller Premium.

“It’s been a remarkable year for us, from beginning to end, and we’re extremely proud of how the allure of the Peugeot brand and our vehicles connect with so many Filipino customers. We’re grateful for the positive response of the market, for the investment and commitment of our dealers, and for the support of our friends in the media who helped share our story in 2022,” said Peugeot PH brand head Maricar Parco.
Aside from the 285 percent sales growth, Peugeot has expanded its dealer network in the Philippines. By the end of 2022, Peugeot PH has a total of 13 showrooms nationwide. Six of which are situated in Metro Manila: Alabang, Balintawak, Makati, Manila Bay, Pasig, and Quezon Avenue.
It also has four dealerships in Luzon, outside of Metro Manila: Bulacan and Pampanga in North Luzon; Sta. Rosa and Batangas in South Luzon.
In the Visayas, Peugeot PH has two dealerships, which are in Cebu and Bacolod. The Lion brand also made its presence felt in Mindanao with its Davao showroom.
Peugeot PH has no plans of slowing down as Parco announced that the car brand plans to have a total of 18 dealerships by the end of 2023. Opening soon are Peugeot dealerships in Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.
“We’re ramping up our efforts to grow our network aggressively in 2023, and key to that is identifying new dealer partners who share our vision of building the Peugeot brand further in the Philippines,” said Parco.
