It also comes with a new Sport variant.

Hyundai has launched the Venue iMT (intelligent manual transmission) in the Indian market and it will also come with a new Sport variant. The Hyundai Venue will be joining the Kia Sonet in the Indian market as vehicles equipped with a clutchless manual.

For those who are wondering what is an iMT, or intelligent manual transmission, it is an industry-first gearbox that uses an intentional sensor that informs a transmission control unit when a driver intends to shift. With this, Hyundai says shifting gears makes it effortless on the part of the driver.

The new Hyundai Venue Sport variant

Hyundai India is exclusively offering the clutchless manual to the Venue’s SX variant priced at Rs 9.90 lakh (around Php 653,000) and SX(O) variant priced at Rs 11.09 lakh (around Php 731,000).

These two variants use a 1.0-liter T-GDI turbocharged gasoline engine. This makes the new model Rs 22,000 (about Php 14,500) more expensive than the regular manual transmission variant.
