Menacing? No – more like a surprisingly cheerful goth.

Everyone remembers when the Hyundai Kona first came out, right? Almost everyone was wowed by its impressively futuristic yet aggressive good looks, as well as its distinctive choice of body colors ranging from the very striking Red, the understated Blue Lagoon, the subtle Chalk White and Phantom Black, to the life of the party which is the Acid Yellow.

Now some of you might think that while these colors are alright, all of it can be considered too “youthful” or too loud for someone’s taste. Well guess what folks, Hyundai finally introduces the new Night Edition, and yes, it’s definitely darker than the currently available Phantom Black or even the Dark Knight.

Despite the exterior and interior changes, the Hyundai Kona Night Edition still uses the same engine options, the 1.6-liter turbo at least for the American market. Do note though that Hyundai didn’t actually mention whether the Night Edition is exclusive for a particular trim, so there’s actually a huge chance that this exciting looking configuration for the Hyundai Kona might reach the Philippine market.
