After introducing the second-generation Maserati GranTurismo (M189) back in 2022, the Italian sportscar maker has released a spyder (convertible) follow-up called the GranCabrio.

As per Maserati, the all-new GranCabrio carries the same level of sophistication and performance as its coupe sibling, whilst having the ability to allow its occupants to enjoy the sun and the open road a little bit better.
Style-wise, it pretty much carries over the sleek body lines similar to that of the GranTurismo. Its front end still has the recognizable grille and the ever-recognizable trident, the same shapely rear end, but with the addition of an automatic fabric roof.
Of note, the roof can be deployed or folded down with a push of a button in just 14 seconds whilst traveling up to speeds of 50 km/h. While it is made out of a soft material, this coupe is still able to maintain a similar silhouette to that of the GranTurismo coupe.
Inside, the GranCabrio can seat up to four people, including the driver. For this model’s Trofeo trim, the interior is filled with soft-touch surfaces. It also gets bolstered sports seats, carbon fiber interior decorations, and a new digital Maserati clock.

Dominating the dashboard is a 12.3-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The said screen is linked to a 14-piece speaker system, but a Sonus Faber 19-piece speaker set is available depending on the market.
There’s also a secondary 8.8-inch display mounted just below the larger screen. This is dedicated to handling the car’s comfort amenities. The driver meanwhile, has access to a customizable 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a heads-up display (HUD).
Safety aboard the GranCabrio is provided by an array of driver-assist features. According to the brand, these collectively form a Level 2 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) and it includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, emergency front and rear braking, a 360-degree view camera, and steering assist, among others.
Propelling this convertible sportscar is Maserati’s 3.0-liter six-cylinder Nettuno engine. At the most, it can generate 542 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

For extra performance, the GranCabrio Trofeo is equipped with staggered (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) wheels, a spring-loaded electronic self-locking differential, and Brembo brake pistons.
Altogether, this allows the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo a claimed zero to 100 km/h time of 3.6 seconds. It also has an estimated top speed of 316 km/h.
