Maserati returned to its racing origins when it introduced the MC20 back in 2020. Now, the Trident brand is taking the model up a notch with the new MC20 Notte, the first-ever limited edition version of the super sports car.
Maserati MC20 Notte
As the moniker suggests, the Maserati MC20 Notte (Italian for night) features a blacked-out finish underscored by the glossy black shade, which turns into a magnetic matte 'nero essenza' hue. It is complemented by 20-inch matte black birdcage wheels with matte white golden and black brake calipers.
The gold motif is carried over into the interior as seen on the logos on the headrest and the distinctive 'UNA DI 50' (one of 50) exclusive metal plate. The interior also comes with six-way power sport seats in Alcantara black/gray with yellow stitching.
The first MC20 limited edition model
Powering the vehicle is still the same 3.0-liter Nettuno twin-turbo V6. No performance upgrades were mentioned in the press release, so it is safe to assume the power unit still makes 621 hp and 730 Nm of torque. Power should be sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Tremec dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
The Maserati Fuoriserie team tapped Andrea Bertolini, Maserati reference driver and former GT1 world champion with the brand, to develop the MC20 Notte bodywork.
"Fuoriserie means 'custom-built' in Italian, and our Trident's customization program is conceived to create one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures for our clients. MC20 Notte celebrates the thrills of racing and the allure of the night, combining supreme performance and Italian elegance with a touch of mystery of the nocturnal world," said Maserati Design Head Klaus Busse.
"It is the first Fuoriserie limited edition of MC20 and it is dedicated to super sportscar collectors and track enthusiasts," added Busse.
It will arrive in the country next year
Maserati will be producing 50 MC20 Notte examples only, with the Philippines securing an allocation for this limited edition model - which will arrive next year.
