Land Rover PH teases arrival of all-new Defender and it says a lot

The return of the icon is drawing near.

Teasers usually give you a hint of the things to come, and it intends to generate interest, create hype, and could sometimes make you curious. That’s the reason why it’s called a teaser.

However, Land Rover Philippines doesn’t want to follow the norm as it teases the arrival of the all-new Defender in the local market. Yup, Land Rover PH doesn’t give a… Well, nevermind.

The Land Rover Defender at its natural habitat

Land Rover PH shared to its Facebook page that the all-new Defender is “finally hitting the breaks here in the Philippines soon!”. The company is also taking pre-orders as of this writing and says that there will only be limited units available.

Upon checking Land Rover PH’s website, we learned that the new Defender will be offered with a starting price of Php 6,190,000. Aside from the price, the website allows you to explore everything the Defender has to offer.

You can browse to know more about its design, accessory packages, tech features, and more. Now that’s how to reveal a teaser that says a lot.

Water crossing? The Defender can easily do that

From the looks of it, Land Rover PH may offer four variants of the new Land Rover Defender 2020, which comprises the following: 90, 110, 90 First Edition, and 110 First Edition. In case you’re wondering, the Defender 90 comes with three doors while the 110 comes with five and it has a longer body.

The Defender is also available in four accessory packages that intend to suit your specific needs and lifestyle. The accessory packs include the following: Explorer, Adventure, Country, and Urban.

Each of the said accessory packages has its own unique design and feature. However, there’s no word yet if Land Rover PH will have the said accessory packages available locally.

The all-new Land Rover Defender can go through any terrain

The Land Rover Defender is powered either by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine or a diesel counterpart of the same displacement. The gasoline power unit produces 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the 2.0-liter diesel can either produce 200 hp or 240 hp while both generate 430 Nm of torque. All engines are connected to an automatic transmission.

Moreover, the Defender has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg and can wade up to 900 mm, further cementing the iconic nameplate’s off-roading prowess. To put things in perspective, SUVs and pickup trucks here in the Philippines have an average wading depth of 800mm.

Land Rover PH has yet to announce when will the all-new Defender arrive in the local market. But, as said earlier, the company is now accepting pre-orders with a limited number of available units. You can know more about the new Defender in Land Rover PH’s website.
