Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is celebrating its 30th year in the market this month. To celebrate its milestone, HCPI is offering exclusive promos and cash discounts for the month of October. The company will also be giving away a free Brio to a lucky Honda car owner.
However, the thing that caught our attention the most was the announcement made by HCPI General Manager of Sales Division Atty. Louie Soriano during an online press conference. Soriano shared that HCPI will be launching two new models on October 22. He added that these new models will help HCPI meet its sales target for 2020.
Soriano didn’t confirm the two models to be launched by HCPI. But, if you look into HCPI’s current model lineup, you can spot three Honda vehicles that could possibly hint what we’re about to see in two weeks’ time. With that, here are the possible models that Honda PH will launch this month. Of note, these are just speculations, and we suggest that you take this news with a grain of salt.
The Honda City RS
One of the cars that HCPI could launch this month is the new Honda City. We pick the City as one of our guesses due to the convincing timeline. It made its debut in Thailand last November 2019, which gives us an indication that the new City might be one of the two new models that HCPI will launch this October.
Moreover, this could be the most ideal time to launch the new Honda City since the 2020 Vios is already in the Philippine market.
The second-gen Honda Brio Amaze looks stylish
Aside from the City, we’re guessing that HCPI could bring in the next-gen Honda Brio Amaze. The said vehicle has been in Honda’s local lineup for about six years now, which could suggest that we might see the new Amaze soon.
The second-gen Brio Amaze was introduced in 2018 and it comes with a more composed and stylish look. Of note, this four-door subcompact sedan is offered with a diesel engine in the Indian market.
Facelifted Honda CR-V
Lastly, we would like to include the Honda CR-V as part of our guesses. We think that the CR-V is one of the two models that HCPI will launch this month.
The reason for this assumption is that Thailand already has the facelifted Honda CR-V, the version that’s similar to the one offered in the US market. Aside from the fact that it’s already in Thailand, we’re thinking that launching the facelifted CR-V this month is good timing and favorable to the local market.
Why so? Well, launching the CR-V this October would mean that Filipino car buyers have more options to choose from in case they’re looking to purchase a midsize SUV because Toyota PH will also be introducing the new Fortuner this month.
