After watching The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift for the first time, you can’t help but admire the racing scene within the movie with the inclusion of the Japanese culture. For most F&F fans, they think that Tokyo Drift is the best movie in the franchise.
They also think that Tokyo Drift focuses on the heart and soul of the franchise which is street racing, unlike the other F&F films which involve high-intense heists. One of the characters that gave the third installment of the franchise a good reputation is Han Seoul-Oh played by Sung Kang.
Han Seoul-Oh is a street racer and business partner to Takashi, the main antagonist of the Tokyo Drift. What you can love about the guy is that he is almost the same person in the movie as he is in real life. You can tell that he has a good taste in cars which is highly evident in the film.
For those who are curious about the cars Han drives in the movie, we got you covered. We have listed down Hans' cars in the Tokyo Drift film. Take note, we only listed the cars that had a good amount of screen time and were driven.
1997 Mazda RX-7: Premium Hans' cars in Tokyo Drift
The 1997 Mazda RX-7 is arguably the best vehicle in the third installment. Some people even think that the 1997 Mazda RX-7 Han drives belongs to the top cars in the franchise alongside Brian O’Conner’s 1994 Toyota Supra MKIV in the first movie and the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in the second movie.

Han’s premium-looking RX-7 was built by Veilside, one of the top car aftermarket companies in Japan. This is exactly the reason why F&F fans dub the vehicle the RX-7 Veilside. It comes with a combination of black and sunset orange pearl paint finish that helps it become more memorable even for first-time viewers.
Under the hood, Han’s RX-7 Veilside is powered by a 13B rotary engine modified by Veilside itself with an HKS turbocharger and Veilside’s titanium exhaust. The rotary engine is capable of producing 306 hp at 6,650 rpm and 347 Nm of torque at 5,950 rpm. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just six seconds and can run a quarter-mile in 14.1 seconds.
This will undoubtedly go down as one of the top cars in the franchise
The RX-7 Veilside is installed with a full set of A’PEXiN1 coilovers and 19-inch Pirelli P Zero tires which helped it create the iconic 360 drift scene with Sean Boswell and the ladies in the 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33.
Unfortunately, the RX-7 Veilside ended in flames after a car hit it during a high-speed chase with a 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z33 driven by his business partner, Takashi. Up until this day, many F&F fans are still paying tribute to the Tokyo Drift’s RX-7 Veilside by making a replica of it.

2001 Nissan Silvia S15: Mona Lisa of Hans' cars in Tokyo Drift
The second car on the list is the 2001 Nissan Silvia S15, or what Twinkie calls the Mona Lisa of the drift world. The first appearance of the Mona Lisa was seen after Sean Boswell got into a heated confrontation with Takashi which led them to settle it by racing. Sean doesn’t have a car in Tokyo so Han decided to hand the Mona Lisa to him.
The Mona Lisa of the drift world
Twinkie told Sean that the Silvia S15 is one of the most important cars Han owns, hence calling it Mona Lisa. Takashi schooled Sean so badly during their first race which causes the Mona Lisa to be totaled. To pay for the damages, Sean was forced to work for Han as his driver.
Powering the Silvia S15 is a turbocharged RB26 Skyline GT-R straight-six engine which was later fitted in the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback owned by Sean’s father. Sean used the Ford Mustang for his final race against Takashi to determine who stays and leaves Tokyo.

Fortunately, Sean won the race against Takashi which granted him his freedom from the Yakuza. The Mustang using Mona Lisa’s engine is a great sight to see as it brings the best of the American and Japanese worlds into one.

2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX: Memorable Hans' cars in Tokyo Drift
The 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX is one of the major cars in the Tokyo Drift film. It may be known as Sean’s car, but it was initially owned by Han. He gave the Evo IX to Sean so he can have a car to use in Tokyo for practicing drifting, as well as for his races. This is where the iconic “the Red Evo is yours” catchphrase is born which is used by some fans when handing out Evos.
"The red Evo is yours"
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is primarily made by the Japanese carmaker so it can have an entry to the rally scene in the 90s. Since the Evo belongs to the Group N alongside its rival, the Subaru Impreza, it comes with an all-wheel-drive configuration.
With that being said, Universal Studios decided to replace the AWD configuration of the red Evo with a rear-wheel-drive configuration for better understeering tendencies or simply drifting. It wouldn’t make sense driving an AWD car as the major car in a movie that is titled with the word “drift.”
The most memorable Tokyo drift Han's car
The Red Evo Sean uses is powered by a stock 2.0-liter 4G63 turbocharged engine with an RMR air intake system and downpipe. It is also equipped with 19-inch Toyo tires with an APR body kit and rear wing. This helped Sean learn the art of drifting after numerous practice sessions with Han and the crew.
Just like the RX-7 Veilside, the red Evo was also destroyed in the chase scene with Takashi. It is now assumed to be impounded in the Fast and Furious universe. The Evo IX may not be as memorable for fans as the RX-7 Veilside, but it sure is a treat for Evo fans around the world alongside the Evo VII Brian drove in the second installment.
