Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) announced that Yosuke Nishi has been appointed as its new president and CEO.

Mr. Yosuke Nishi

Yosuke Nishi officially replaced Yoshihisa Hosaka who has been assigned to Sojitz Corporation Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. During Hosaka’s term, the Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer managed to grow its sales by 11 percent amid the challenges of the pandemic.

“We have great expectations for Fuso this year, with clear plans to focus on the acceleration of network expansion and strengthening our market presence in the key areas,” said SFP’s new President and CEO Yosuke Nishi.

Nishi previously led Geely Philippines’ operations, delivering a strong performance with only a 3-car lineup. These models include the Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango. Now, the Chinese automaker is competing in the local market with the Emgrand subcompact sedan under the leadership of Sojitz G Auto Philippines’ (SGAP) new president and CEO, Yugo Kiyofuji.

Nishi will lead the way for Fuso's local expansion

The new president and CEO of SFP is playing a huge role in growing the commercial vehicle lineup of Fuso that has been around in the country since 1969. The brand aims to address the need for business mobility to keep Filipino entrepreneurs moving. In turn, it will contribute to the drive for development in the Philippines.

SFP is offering a wide array of vehicles from light-duty to heavy-duty trucks. It even has the Rosa light bus that can seat up to 33 passengers, as well as Class II and Class III modern public utility vehicles (PUVs) in support of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).

“I want to assure our customers and partners that SFP will continue to provide the high-quality service, customer satisfaction, and remarkable experience with the Fuso brand,” added Nishi.

In addition, SFP relocated its corporate headquarters from Alabang, Muntinlupa City to Quezon City.
