Since dirt was dirt, pickup trucks were usually associated with men. Pickup trucks after all continue to fill in several utilitarian duties, which are mostly male-dominated. It works great as a construction site roundabout, as a farm vehicle, and it’s one of the best cars to go off-road with.
In the present day, however, women are getting more involved in those aforementioned activities. In turn, the pickup truck has also evolved to become a comfortable ride on the road. It can now fulfill the role of a daily driver and as a daily family chariot. That of course means that more and more women are driving pickup trucks, either as a vehicle for work, as a daily, and for fun.
The Ford Ranger is tough enough for the needs of both Men and Women
Ford Philippines is very much aware of this fact. As such, it wants to bring the pickup truck even closer to women customers. To do this, the company introduced the “Ranger for Her” campaign.
With the “Ranger for Her”, the American brand wants to further connect the “Built Ford Tough” characteristics of the Ford Ranger with strong and empowered women. Ford PH then brought in actress and advocate Iza Calzado to become the face of the “Superheroes” campaign, which positions the Ford Ranger as an enabler of good deeds.
Through the Superheroes campaign, Calzado reached out to a Gawad Kalinga community located in Dasmariñas, Cavite. There, she connected to and recognized the women leaders of the Kusina ng Kalinga Project. The said project works hard to provide sustenance to over 300 individuals daily. Calzado also gave away 200 sanitation kits, disinfection materials, and personal protective devices, all of which were loaded on a Ford Ranger Wildtrak.

Rachel Peters, a beauty queen, and entrepreneur, also lends her aid with the “Great Driving Roads” campaign. This campaign aims to show that the Ford Ranger is an effective partner in reviving and further promoting local tourism.
To do just this, Peters took a Ford Ranger Wildtrak to visit several scenic locations all across the country. She will then star in a two-episode travel video series that will be aired on Ford Philippine’s official social media channels, as well as on her own social media channels.
With this, Peters will not only showcase the travel destinations but also share the stories of people she met on the journey.
