Chery Auto Philippines has extended for the third time its ‘No Price Increase’ program which excludes the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)’s safeguard duty on its vehicles. The Chinese car brand announced that the extension will be valid until the end of May only.

To recall, the first extension was announced last March 2021, and was followed by a second extension the month after. Chery Auto Philippines implemented the program to help Filipino car buyers avail of its crossover-only lineup without the additional tax.
The current Chery range consists of the Tiggo 2 and Tiggo 5x subcompact crossovers, the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro compact crossover, and the 7-seater Tiggo 8 midsize crossover. All models are powered by a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine, but only the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 come with a turbocharger that helps generate 145 hp and 210 Nm of torque.

As part of the program, Chery Auto Philippines is absorbing the costs of the safeguard duty which comes in the form of a Php 70,000 tax on passenger vehicles. Here is the complete list of the pre-safeguard tariff prices of the Chery models available this May:

All Chery Tiggo crossovers are offered with several after-sales perks such as a 5-year or 150,000-km general vehicle warranty, an industry-leading 10-year or 1,000,000 kilometer engine warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, and free preventive maintenance service (PMS) for three years.
