Driving through sudden downpours can be a bit challenging since visibility is affected while the roads can be slippery. Changan Motors Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) understands the said issue, which is why it aims to make your drives safer.
The car brand highlighted the features integrated into the CS35 Plus that can help you drive confidently through harsh weather conditions. Dubbed SafeTech, CMPI boasts that the CS35 Plus is one of the vehicles in its segment that comes with extensive safety and technology features.
Among the safety and tech features found on the Changan CS35 Plus subcompact crossover is the Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function. The said tech allows you to set your desired speed while you’re cruising. Then, it automatically slows down the car or adjusts the speed once the CS35 Plus’ built-in radar detects a vehicle upfront.
Changan’s subcompact crossover is also equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), a system that assists you in braking to avoid any probable accident. The AEB works in conjunction with the Front Collision Warning (FCW), which alerts the driver by giving a visual warning on the digital instrument cluster as well as by sounding off an alarm that you need to step on the brakes.
Aside from those features, the CS35 Plus also has an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) that automatically applies the brakes to individual wheels to prevent loss of directional control. This in turn allows you to keep the vehicle stable while you’re out on the road.
To address impaired visibility during a heavy downpour, the Changan CS35 Plus features split LED headlights with daytime running lights. Changan said that this feature allows you to have better visibility when you’re driving in the rain. It also has Emergency Brake Light, which blinks rapidly when you apply abrupt or sudden braking.
The list of safety and tech features continues with the Around View Camera, which gives a live image feed to the CS35 Plus’ 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. This helps you maneuver the vehicle safer and easier to the parking slot or on tight streets.
To add, the vehicle also has a built-in dash cam that automatically records all the sides captured by the Around View cameras before and after potential accidents occur. Videos are saved on the Micro SD card, which can be viewed on the infotainment touchscreen.
The Changan CS35 Plus is available in three variants with a starting price of Php 999,000 while the top-spec trim retails at Php 1,169,000.
