As most are already aware of, Changan Philippines has released the new CS35 Plus for the model year 2022. It’s a relatively powerful crossover, sure, but another one of its strengths is its wide array of technologies designed to provide safer drives.
The 2022 Changan CS35 Plus
First off, there’s the CS35 Plus’ front collision warning system. As its name implies, it provides the driver visual alerts via the vehicle’s digital instrument display. It does this whenever a frontal collision is imminent. An audible alarm will also be heard, providing ample time for the driver to apply the brakes.
If that isn’t enough, the CS35 Plus also comes with autonomous emergency braking. So essentially, this model can apply additional brake force during potentially dangerous situations.
Convenience is also a huge factor in driving. To this end, the CS35 Plus also gets adaptive cruise control. It is able to adjust the vehicle’s speed actively, in accordance with the car in front.
Parking is also made easy and secure with this Changan model’s around view camera and monitor system. It gives a 360-degree view of the car’s immediate surroundings via HD quality video. During sudden braking or accidental collision, it also has an emergency video recording function.
The CS35 Plus' advanced safety features
And of course, the CS35 Plus also gets the standard safety equipment you’d expect from a modern vehicle. It has anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, hill-hold and hill-descent control, as well as child-proof locks and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also has tire pressure monitoring.
Lastly, the CS35 Plus also comes kitted out with a six-piece airbag system. These are front airbags, front cabin side airbags, as well as rear side airbags.

The Changan CS35 Plus is a subcompact five-seater crossover. For the Philippine market, this model has three variants. These are the Lite, Hype, and Luxe. Prices for these range from Php 1,039,000 to Php 1,209,000.
Under the hood, the CS35 Plus uses a 1.4-liter turbo inline-4 gasoline engine that can make up to 160 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch transmission.
Size-wise, the 2023 Changan CS35 Plus is 4,335mm long, 1,825mm wide, and 1,660mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,600mm.
Locally, the Changan CS35 Plus competes against the likes of the Geely Coolray, Volkswagen T-Cross, Toyota Raize, MG ZS, Ford EcoSport, Kia Stonic, etc.
