Under the said fuel efficiency test runs, the APP has set parameters to ensure accurate numbers by observing realistic driving conditions. See the following criteria below:

  • Test units are filled to the brim
  • All OEM equipment present
  • Tire pressures set at OEM specifications
  • A/C set to medium cool
  • Radio either not used, on low volume, or on mute
  • With two passengers and no extra baggage
  • Complying with speed limits and traffic regulations

Powering the Changan CS35 Plus is a 1.4-liter Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (T-GDi) engine that makes 156 hp and 234 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with Sport Mode which is said to provide fast shifting and excellent fuel efficiency.

Aside from the CS35 Plus, CMPI also put the Alsvin’s fuel efficiency to the test under AAP. The subcompact sedan boasts a fuel consumption rating of 22.023 km/l on the highway, while registering 9.369 km/l in the city.
