Available in both aesthetic AMG Line and performance AMG trims.

Mercedes-Benz Philippines brings the Mercedes-Benz A-Class to the local market, now in standard and AMG guise. Available in both sedan and hatchback variants, the latest member of the automaker’s roster promises the usual refinement wrapped in a youthful form for everyday drives.

The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class comes in both sedan and hatchback body styles for the Philippines

The new A-Class in AMG Line trim comes with front aprons on the sporty-looking fascia, accompanied by high-performance LED headlamps. A prominent crease along the profile complements the belt line stretching from front to rear to lend a dynamic air, topped off with a set of 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels bearing a 5-twin-spoke design.

For those who want to enhance the aesthetics even further, the available AMG aerodynamics package brings a more aggressive look with the AMG-specific radiator grille, upsized 19-inch alloys, and AMG rear wing.

A sportier-looking exterior is just one of the things to expect on the AMG version

Inside, the new A-Class already brings a luxurious interior straight from the factory, but users can further adapt the cabin to be more in line with individual preferences. Large circular air vents on the dashboard are part of the striking design details, extending to two more on the center console for the rear occupants. The A-Class seats up to five people whether for weekday commutes or leisurely weekend drives.

A pair of 7-inch twin digital displays (10.25 inches on the AMG version) for both the instrument cluster and central touchscreen surround the driver’s perch behind the flat-bottom steering wheel. The use of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) interface means that the A-Class continues to learn and adapt to the driver’s needs. It also accommodates voice control for various functions, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Large digital screens for both the instrument panel and infotainment display surround the driver

The A-Class not only keeps you entertained but also helps keep the stress away from driving with the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive suite of driver-assist systems. Active Parking Assist with Parktronic and reverse camera make parking a breeze, while advanced safety features such as Active Braking Assist give you peace of mind.

Delivering power under the hood for the standard A-Class is a 1.3-liter gasoline inline-4 rated at 136 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. For the AMG trim, this becomes a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that packs 306 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, able to make the A-Class leap from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.8 seconds.

If the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class has got your attention, you can see it in the metal at all authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer showrooms in EDSA-Greenhills, Bonifacio Global City, Alabang, and Cebu.
