Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) is entering the local electric vehicle (EV) market with the Ice Cream EV.
Jetour Ice Cream
If the nameplate sounds familiar, the Ice Cream is the EV iteration of the Chery QQ. As a brand under the Chery Auto umbrella, Jetour has managed to acquire the Ice Cream EV and is now geared to advance eco-friendly mobility solutions in the country.
Exterior
The cutesy and boxy exterior of the Jetour Ice Cream EV stands out right off the bat. It comes with a U-shaped LED daytime running light design, a shape that can also be found for the taillights. On the sides, you get to see a set of 12-inch steel wheels with a two-tone color scheme.
It is a tiny electric vehicle
Dimensions-wise, this tiny EV spans 2,980mm in length, 1,496mm in width, and 1,637mm in height. For added style, a two-tone scheme is also implemented on the exterior, with a black or white roof put on display by the company for its preview.
Interior
Moving into the interior, the space is pretty much what you would expect after looking at the exterior. To maximize the space, the cabin doesn’t come with a center glovebox and an infotainment touchscreen in the middle. But it does get a unique phone holder on top of the dashboard that can substitute as your infotainment screen.
This can seat up to four people
Despite its size, the Ice Cream still offers a second row of seats with contrast stitching for a more stylish look. It can be folded down in case you need more room for cargo.
Tech
The Jetour Ice Cream is equipped with a digital instrument cluster that also serves as the infotainment system. It is capable of displaying the rearview camera when backing up. Moreover, the cabin comes with a USB charging port.

The Ice Cream can do 170 km on a single charge
As for the model’s EV capabilities, the car brand said it can run up to around 170 km on a single charge. Jetour added that charging the Ice Cream EV from zero to 100 percent can take about eight hours.
Price
In a sea of EVs that cost a fortune, the Jetour Ice Cream is your ticket to owning an affordable electrified car. The company is offering the Ice Cream EV with a sticker price of Php 699,000.
The most affordable EV in the Philippine market yet
By April 2023, JAPI is scheduled to commence its sales in the local market.
Also happening in the same month is the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which will be joined by the Chinese auto brand. It will bring out the Jetour Ice Cream at the auto show, as well as the rest of the models in the local lineup including the Jetour Dashing.
