The 18th edition of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) gets the green light as it has been scheduled to happen this April.
MIAS will happen in two months
As usual, the upcoming 2023 MIAS will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Like last year when the event returned following the disruption of the pandemic, organizer Worldbex Services International has set COVID-19 health and safety requirements including wearing face masks.
The organizers have yet to disclose the lineup for the car event. But we can expect activities such as test drive opportunities, car custom displays, and new car models and brand launches.
One of the reported car brands that will make an appearance at the 2023 MIAS is Jetour, a sub-brand under Chery. If true, Jetour will join other Chinese automakers in the local market in selling vehicles with an enticing price-to-feature ratio. Specifically, this sub-brand focuses on producing budget-friendly crossovers and SUVs.
Omoda 5
Omoda is another Chery sub-brand that will likely debut at the car show. If this brand makes the roster, the Omoda 5 compact crossover will wow spectators with its sporty exterior design and premium-looking interior.
Despite Chery Auto Philippines being under the distributorship of United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), Jetour and Omoda will reportedly be distributed by a different party.
Familiar names such as Russ Swift could show up to entertain event-goers. He is a three-time Guinness World Records holder known for his stunt driving tricks. Motor Image Pilipinas, the distributor of Subaru in the country, annually brings Swift to MIAS inside Subaru cars.

The full roster of participants should be revealed closer to the start of the 2023 MIAS.
You can now register and get tickets at MIAS’s official website. It will be happening from April 13 to 16, 2023, and open to ticket-holders from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
