As electrification is steadily approaching the country, Great Wall Motor (GWM) is taking advantage of this market with the launching of the Haval H6 hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).

The 2023 Haval H6 HEV is the hybrid version of the H6 compact crossover. Thanks to the hybrid system, the Chinese automaker offers the local market a model that provides superior fuel efficiency and eco-friendly benefits.
Exterior
Now in its third generation, the Haval H6 HEV has a contemporary approach to the exterior design. Features on the front fascia include a grille with a unique pattern, automatic LED headlights, daytime running lamps, and LED front fog lamps. The base DHT Max uses 18-inch wheels, while the flagship DHT Supreme is fitted with 19-inch wheels.

If you opt for the flagship model, you get to benefit from features such as a 4-way electronically adjustable front passenger’s seat, an atmosphere lamp, and door scuff plate material. This variant also has a heads-up display, providing a more immersive driving experience.
Tech & Safety
While Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard in the Haval H6 HEV, the DHT Max only has a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen. The DHT Supreme gets a larger 12.3-inch head unit, which sits on top of the dashboard. Both variants have eight speakers with DTS (Digital Theater Sound).
It is capable of Level 2 Autonomous Driving System
Regardless of the variant, the compact crossover is equipped with active and passive safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, a 360-degree camera, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Center Keeping Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Collision Warning. However, only the top-spec has a fully automatic parking assist function.
Engine & Powertrain
The hybrid system is used to power the two variants. It consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine good for 148 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. This is paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined power output of 240 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission.
GWM officially returns to the Philippine automotive scene
As mentioned earlier, the hybrid power unit is capable of lowering CO2 emissions. Locally, the Haval H6 HEV is going up against hybrid compact crossovers such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Geely Azkarra.
