Say hello to a bolder and more aggressive-looking Santa Fe.

Hyundai has revealed the 2021 Santa Fe featuring a more aggressive exterior, premium interior look, updated tech, and a new platform. But first, just take a gander at its all-new design.

That's a mean-looking crossover. Well done, Hyundai!

The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe gets a new front end that now comes with a wider grille, a more muscular bumper, and a new headlight design.

The Korean SUV also gets LED daytime running lights seen at the top of the grille, an obvious nod to the bigger Palisade. The new design elements of the Santa Fe’s fascia gives the vehicle a bolder and more composed demeanor.

2021 Hyundai Santa Fe is ready to challenge its segment rivals with its bold design, more tech, and a new platform

Turning at the side, the Santa Fe has straight character lines that add to the vehicle’s overall confident stance. You will also notice that it is designed with more prominent wheel arches, which is emphasized by 20-inch wheels.

We can’t help to unsee the Santa Fe’s Euro-looking design when viewed from the side. The rear, on the other hand, is equipped with redesigned taillights that are connected across the tailgate by a slim illuminated bar.

It also has a tweaked bumper featuring a distinctive reflector and skid plate.

The rear's familiar but the Santa Fe now sits on a new platform

The interior of the 2021 Santa Fe looks premium featuring a two-tone theme of black and white, at least for the global market. Hyundai says the interior now comes with space, comfort, and convenience compared to the previous model.

It also has a massive center console integrated with essential buttons that are said to be intuitive and ergonomic. In the middle of the redesigned center console is where you can see the gear shift buttons.

A more plush interior awaits customers

In terms of tech, the 2021 Santa Fe comes with a Terrain Mode selector for the first time, a control knob located in the center console to conveniently switch between different drive modes for sand, snow, and mud. It also lets you select eco, sport, comfort, and smart modes.

The Santa Fe also gets a new 10.25-inch AVN(audio, video, navigation) touchscreen display with pre-loaded maps, satellite-based voice-guided navigation, rear camera display, and complete in-car entertainment and connectivity features.

It is also said that the 2021 Santa Fe will feature a new platform leading to better driving performance. However, Hyundai has yet to release more details in regards to that, along with the engine details.

More technical info will be released as soon as Hyundai debuts the midsize crossover into the European market in September 2020.

As always, we’ll be on our toes for any news of its Philippine debut, but don’t expect the all-new model on our shores this year.
