More power but unfortunately, not borrowing the G80’s more potent V6.

The Kia Stinger is a sports sedan, or more specifically a grand tourer, that offers both style and speed. Judging by the looks of it, the Kia Stinger has every feature needed to dominate in its class.

However, the sports sedan didn’t quite live up to sales expectations. Maybe because the Korean automaker is known more for its entry-level cars like the Kia Picanto and the Kia Sportage locally.

With that being said, reports suggest that Kia Stinger will get an update – in the hope to increase its sales.

A whole new generation of the Stinger is not advisable as of now considering how well the Kia Stinger is put up – even if compared to other sedans in today’s time.

The 2020 Kia Stinger

Another evident upgrade the 2021 Stinger will get according to Carsales.com is its overall power output. Unfortunately, the Kia Stinger will not get a new engine.

The anticipated 3.5L twin-turbo engine V6 from the recently-launched Genesis G80 will not be offered in the new Kia Stinger. But instead, Kia will make few adjustments like complementing a new variable exhaust system with adjustable flaps to increase power.

2021 Stinger engine is targeted to offer 380 hp and 528 Nm of torque

The current 3.3L V6 engine in a Stinger can generate 365 hp and 510 Nm of torque. After the power increase, the new Stinger is targeted to offer 380 hp and 528 Nm of torque.

There are currently no reports about how much will the Kia Stinger 2021 be priced. Inside, the current 8-inch touchscreen is set to be upgraded to its latest 10.25-inch. To further complete the ultimate facelift, all-analog dials will be replaced with a fully digital instrument cluster.

Based on the spy images we’ve seen, the facelift will probably run on Full LED headlight with Daytime Running Lights draped all over its headlights. Also, the new Stinger might get a full-width LED light bar at the back which is a common trend in today’s new cars.

Currently, the Kia Stinger is listed at Php 3,325,000 for the Twin Turbo V6 variant. With all the leaked information about the sports sedan, you might want to wait for next year.

If the speculations are precise, then the 2021 facelifted model will have a redefined body design, upgraded interiors, and produce more power.
