The Hyundai Grand Starex was officially unveiled at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show in Malaysia. It only had one entry-level Executive model variant that was later discontinued.
Now, Hyundai Sime Darby Malaysia has introduced two new variants of the Grand Starex facelift – Executive Plus and Executive Prime.

Both Executive Plus and Executive Prime variants use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with VGT. It is capable of generating 168 hp at 3,600 rpm and 441 Nm of torque at 2,000 to 2,250 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic with shiftronic.
The Hyundai Grand Starex runs on a set of newly designed 16-inch wheels shod with 215/70 profile tires. It is installed with halogen projector headlights and fog lamps, new four-point LED daytime running lights with gloss black surrounds.
Moreover, a new body kit comes standard to both Executive Plus and Executive Prime variants.
The Grand Starex can comfortably seat 11 passengers
Inside, the seats are now fully wrapped with leather and the second-row seats feature a swivel function as standard.
In terms of its infotainment system, the Grand Starex is installed with a roof-mounted monitor for rear passengers, rear air vents, touchscreen infotainment system with DVD playback support, four speakers, and three USB port.

The rear fascia also gets an updated body kit as standard
The Hyundai Grand Starex 2020 is installed with four airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control system, and brake assist as standard. There’s also passive cruise control, automatic light control, rear camera, and parking distance warning available for both cars.
What’s exclusive about the Grand Starex’s in comparison to its lower end spec is the addition of powered tailgate, keyless entry with push-start button, and powered sliding door.

Currently, it has four color options that include Moonlight Cloud, Creamy White, Timeless Black, and Taiga Brown.
