A safe and comfortable mobility to get to work.

When the COVID-19 first broke out in the country last March 2020, transportation is one of the most affected sectors especially in Metro Manila. The need for safe mobility that observes the proper health and safety protocols has been increasing as Filipinos are slowly adapting to the new normal.

TMP's ODS system with SWAT Mobility

As such, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), the official distributor of Toyota vehicles in the country, collaborated with SWAT Mobility to introduce the On-Demand Shuttle (ODS) system last May 2020. It aims to provide, safe, comfortable, and reliable shuttle services to companies for their employees’ daily commute to and from work.

To get started, employers must download TMP’s mobile booking application called SWATBiz. The system automates route preparation and facilitates the employees’ seat booking process which eliminates manual arrangement of shuttle destination points. It is also equipped with a real-time tracking system to help monitor the shuttle vehicles.

A hassle-free mobility for employees

Under the ODS system, it offers two routing types to address various mobility needs, namely dynamic and fixed. Dynamic Routing is more suitable for arrangements where work schedules constantly change, the number of employee-passenger varies, and where close-to-close door pick-up and drop-off are preferred.

Meanwhile, the Fixed Routing is quite the opposite of the former. It is more suitable for fixed work schedules, pre-defined routes, and shared drop-off points. The ODS system is designed to simplify shuttle service management to both improve the work efficiency of employees and provide safe and dependable mobility services.

Toyota Hiace Super Grandia

TMP is one of the car brands that has made its presence known amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The Japanese automaker participated in various programs to assist the country to curb the spread of the coronavirus such as the donation of Toyota Vios units to the Department of Health (DOH) and the launching of its online customer assistance tool called the MyToyota PH.
