Toyota’s popular SUV joins the price update club.

The opening of 2023 saw a number of car models from several brands increasing in price. The last one we’ve reported on is the Toyota Wigo.

The Fortuner joins the several models that saw a price increase at the beginning of 2023

According to the Toyota Philippines website though, it looks like the Toyota Fortuner’s sticker price saw an adjustment as well. Here are the details of the price change:

Based on the list of Fortuner prices above, the price updates go all across the board. Also note that all of the Fortuner variant’s price bumps clock in at Php 26,000.

Just like many of the recent price adjustments, Toyota is yet to release a statement regarding the said price increase for the popular midsize seven-seater SUV.  But then again, we may attribute this to rising inflation rates, the Philippine Peso’s exchange rates, among other factors.

The Fortuner for that matter, doesn’t look like it has received any new features or updates that we know of.

Under the hood for the Fortuner that’s available right now still uses the same 2.4-liter and 2.8-liter turbodiesel engines, making 148 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, and 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, respectively.

All trims saw a Php 26,000 price bump

A rear-wheel-drive version, and a 4x4 version is available. Only the entry-level G trim may come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while the rest of the Fortuner’s variant lineup uses a six-speed automatic transmission.

Higher-spec trims of the Toyota-made SUV also get a comprehensive safety kit, which includes the Toyota Safety Sense driver assistive suite. The said suite comprises a pre-collision system, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control system, among other features.
