Only cosmetic upgrades are included in the Ralliart package.

When Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that it will bring back Ralliart last May 2021, many were excited considering the renowned history of the brand’s motorsports and high-performance division. Ralliart worked on some of the most iconic Mitsubishi models to date, including the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

Mitsubishi's Ralliart officially makes its return...somewhat

Now, the comeback has been made official as Mitsubishi rolls out Ralliart-exclusive features in Thailand. However, the package only consists of aesthetic enhancements, which can be disappointing for those who are expecting performance upgrades. The first two models to receive the Ralliart treatment are the Pajero Sport (Montero Sport) and Triton (Strada).

The Mitsubishi Montero Sport with the Ralliart accessories package comes with Ralliart side decals, front and rear under garnishes, black tailgate spoiler, black roof with shark fin antenna, mud flap with the Ralliart logo, and floor mats. These additions should enrich the rugged characteristics of the Japanese automaker’s midsize SUV.

On the other hand, the Mitsubishi Strada Ralliart gets the same features as its SUV counterpart. But since it is a pickup truck, the motorsports division decided to add an exclusive Ralliart bed liner. Both the Montero Sport and Strada are available in either a variant of white or Jet Black Mica.

No future plans for the Ralliart name have been disclosed by the Japanese automaker as of this writing. But looking at the spec sheets of the two Ralliart models, the exclusive accessory packages are available only to their 4x2 variants. We’re hoping this could mean that the 4x4 variants will come with more substantial performance upgrades to make them more off-road ready.

In our previous report, an unnamed source from Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) said that Ralliart will be coming to the local lineup. This is highly expected considering that Ralliart is now available in Thailand. By the time Ralliart makes a comeback here, we hope that MMPC will include performance upgrades in the Ralliart package.
