The 7-seater MPV led Mitsubishi’s charge for the love month.

It’s final: the Mitsubishi Xpander has completely settled into the Adventure’s role as a family hauler and business workhorse, ensuring that the erstwhile AUV’s legacy is in good hands. Very few contenders in the MPV segment can lay claim to having a visually striking aesthetic, combined with a generous interior and car-like ride quality.

The Xpander has become a household name in the MPV category

Little wonder that the Xpander is in top form where sales are concerned, posting sales of more than 2,000 units for the month of February. That’s 70 percent more units rolling off dealer showrooms compared to January, apart from being the biggest chunk of the total 5,072 Mitsubishi vehicles sold in the love month.

Other models in the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) lineup also contributed to those numbers. The company handed over the keys of the Mirage G4 subcompact sedan to 1,078 new owners, representing a 94-percent improvement from January.

Meanwhile, the L300 has been a locally assembled mainstay of Filipino businesses, even more so after being upgraded to a more powerful and efficient 2.2L turbodiesel engine. This robust workhorse turned in February sales figures of 947 units.

The Mitsubishi Montero Sport made its way to 607 households last month. This midsize SUV brings a mix of futuristic design, comfortable seating for seven, a load of sophisticated tech amenities, and solid off-road performance with the tested Super Select 4WD-II.

Here’s the breakdown of MMPC’s total sales for February:
