Present in the signing ceremony were key officials from Volvo Philippines including President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atty. Albert B. Arcilla. They were joined by Gateway Group executives led by its Chairman, Markane Goho.
The Volvo Cars Pampanga is expected to be opened in the second quarter of next year. It will be designed to showcase Scandinavian-inspired values that aim to provide visitors with a feel-at-home ambiance. In the meantime, the operations will temporarily be at MacArthur Highway, Baliti, San Fernando, Pampanga.
Upon the formal opening of the new dealership, the Swedish automaker will expand the reach of its SUV lineup to the Kapampangan people. This lineup is completed by the XC40, XC60, and XC90. The Volvo XC90 midsize crossover is made available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which debuted at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

For those who might fancy a sedan, the company also has an entry into this market with the Volvo S90. It is a midsize luxury sedan that comes with plush design details inside and out. Some of the model’s features are driver assistance technology functions, a 360-degree camera, Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and an air purifier.
“We tread on an exciting path towards becoming a truly electrifying car brand – both in the products we carry and the quality of service we provide. We have full confidence in our partner and look forward to a thriving relationship with the Northern Luzon market,” said Atty. Arcilla.
“We want to bring Volvo cars closer to people and provide them with the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way,” he added.
